Meet Kate

A graduate of the University of Otago with a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Tourism (honors), I also have a Graduate Diploma in New Zealand Immigration Advice from Toi Ohomai Polytechnic, a New Zealand Certificate in Tikanga Maori, a New Zealand Certificate in Assessment Practice and a New Zealand Certificate in Alpine Resort Operations. I love learning!

Queenstown's economy relies heavily on migrant workers. I spent 7 years as HR Manager of NZSki, which owns and operates 3 ski fields in the South Island (Coronet Peak, The Remarkables, and Mt Hutt).  In this position, I typically supported over 300 visas each winter season, gaining a broad understanding of the NZ Immigration system. Throughout my HR career, I've applied for AIPs for over 200 visas a year, experienced in the Accredited Employer Work Visa pathway, variation of conditions, partnership visas, and have also supported employers to apply for employer accreditation. I also have experience in many residency categories such as Skilled Migrant, Partnership and family categories, and ensure I am up to date with relevant policy and instructional changes from Immigration New Zealand.

Born & raised in New Zealand, I now live in Queenstown with my two beautiful daughters, and my two dogs - labrador Coro (named after Coronet Peak) and labrador x GSP Alta (named after Lake Alta on The Remarkables).
